Frequently Asked Questions

Do you accept insurance?

Two Bridges does not bill insurance providers on your behalf and is considered an out-of-network provider. A superbill will be provided upon request for you to submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement. We encourage you to reach out to your insurance provider to learn more about their reimbursement process.

Where do you provide services?

Two Bridges provides services to children in the city of San Francisco. Services are provided in the child’s natural environment which typically entails the child’s home. However, services can also be provided via Teletherapy, at a child’s school (i.e., daycare, preschool, private school), or in the community (e.g., park, library, museum).

What does an evaluation entail?

The duration and structure of an evaluation depends on the unique needs of your child. Typically, an evaluation occurs over one to two 60 minute sessions and may consist of standardized testing, child observation, gathering of a language sample, or parent interview. It’s best if the evaluation can occur in the home or other familiar environment with a caregiver present. A feeding evaluation is structured around eating a meal or snack together. The specifics of each evaluation will be discussed during the scheduling process.

What ages do you work with?

At Two Bridges we support children birth to 18 years of age. We believe strongly in early intervention and early identification of speech, language, and feeding disorders. Therefore, support for younger children may come in the form of parent coaching.

Do you collaborate with other professionals?

Yes! It’s our experience that children thrive when they are supported consistently throughout their day. Collaborating with teachers and other therapists gives us a better understanding of how to best support your child while also sharing strategies to support their speech, language, or feeding progress.
